This issue of Science and Technology Studies is the final one of four in total published this year focusing on the topic of Knowledge Infrastructures. Across the four issues we have presented fourteen papers (thirteen research articles and one discussion paper) and four book reviews. In this final editorial we f rst take a look at the issues raised by the f nal batch of articles, then take a step back to review the collection as a whole, considering what it tells us about the state of the art in Science and Technology Studies’ understanding of knowledge infrastructures and looking forward to the challenges still on the horizon.
